What’s Happening on Dewees Post-4th

Dear Community,

We hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th of July on Dewees! We were delighted to see our owners, guests and families come together for special events and making new friends and building memories.

Haley Jackson, Turtle Intern, Joey Riser, Mate, Thornton Lacy, Captain, and Katherine Powell, Dunes Properties Intern (pictured below) were decked out in their red, white and blue and in high spirits yesterday while celebrating America!

Yesterday, our staff and ferries transported a total of 160 passengers! Ferry traffic remains busy as folks depart the island post-holiday. We anticipate more high traffic this Saturday from 10:30a.m. – 4:00p.m., and again on Sunday morning until 2:00p.m.

We’d also like you to be aware that we have a barge tomorrow, Friday, July 6, and will have trucks and heavy equipment on the island from 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.

Sunday, July 8, there will be a small wedding ceremony at Ancient Dunes beach around 10:30a.m. The wedding party will make their way to the Huyler House for a private brunch reception from 11:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.

We hope y’all enjoy the rest of your week! Have fun and be safe!
