In order to keep the community as safe as possible, we encourage everyone to wear proper face coverings on the ferry and in small spaces.
According to the CDC, proper face coverings should fit the criteria:
- Non-medical disposable masks
- Proper fitting masks that fit snug around your nose and chin, with no large gaps on the side
- Breathable masks made from tight woven fabrics, like cotton, and should not be see through
- Masks with inner filter pockets
- Two or three layer masks
If you are someone that cannot wear a mask because of a medical condition, other alternatives to masks are face shields. Proper face shields do not include goggles and should wrap around the sides of your face and extends below your chin.
If you are using a reusable face covering that can be washed, here is a link from SCDHEC that can give you guidance on how to properly clean and dry your masks for reuse.
As a reminder, please practice safe social distancing and maintain good hygiene practices to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
