Environmental Programs for November

How well do you know your shells?

Stop by the Huyler House and put your shell knowledge to the test and make a craft to take home.  This is a daily self-guided activity.


Tallow Party 

Learn how to identify Chinese tallow tree while we pull it from the Conservation Area on Dewees Island.  Please meet at the fire station and wear clothes and boots which can get wet and muddy and bring water and work gloves.  The program last 1 ½ hours.  Please RSVP to 843-568-3994 you will be attending.

Fishing & Fish Tagging

Learn basic fishing techniques, tips and tricks.  We will also cover how and why fish are tagged through the DNR tagging program.  A limited amount of tackle is available to borrow during the program.  The program lasts about 1 hour.   Please meet at the Ferry Dock.
