Andrew and his wife Lauren relocated to Charleston in late March 2019. Originally from Orange County California, he grew up going on family boating trips all over the west coast starting from age 5.
Andrew attended college for accounting. After three years, he realized that was not the field for him and decided to attend the Commercial Diving Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. After, Andrew got a job at the Dana Point Shipyard. After one year at Dana Point, he took the opportunity to work for the San Diego Mooring Company. Andrew was the primary diver and deckhand. The operation was a two-man crew on a 50′ crane barge where they maintained all the moorings in the San Diego Bay. Shortly after, he and his wife thought it would be a great idea to move onto a boat. They found the perfect one, a 40’ 1973 Pacemaker aft cabin cruiser. Two and a half years later it was time to make a change and they moved to the East coast.
Andrew worked for Charleston Speed Boat Adventures as a boat tour guide. He also was a dockhand at St Johns Yacht Harbor marina. In his free time, he enjoys taking his boat out, BBQ with friends, and relaxing at home with his wife and dog.
While working at Dewees, Andrew looks forward to meeting new people, continuing his career in the maritime industry, and enjoying being out on the water.
