Please come to the Huyler House to welcome and say thank you to the SC Audubon Shorebird Stewards. This amazing group of volunteers spent their summer weekend educating beach goers on ways to protect threatened beach nesting shorebirds. Education efforts focused on shorebird identification of American oystercatchers, least terns and Wilson’s plovers as well as nesting and resting habitat. This dedicated group helped to protect over 50 Least Terns and 15 Wilson’s Plovers!
